Book Shelf: Review #3

Hello again everyone.
In the last Book Shelf I made a review of book 1 of the Crossfire series. So this time I'm doing a review of book 2.
And here it is...
Book Title: Reflected in You
Series: Crossfire
Author: Sylvia Day
Genre: Eroctic Romance
Book Description: Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession...
Review: This is a 3,5 stars book. I was hoping for a little more, but in the end, it was all forgiven :)
After the twisted cliff-hanger that was the end of book 1, Eva made piece with Cary and spent the weekend  together. Where?? Vegas ^^
Gideon then starts to behave weirdly and Eva starts to wonder what the hell is going on. Especially because he's spending a little too much time with his ex-fiancé, Corinne.
Although Gideon tells her to trust him, she doesn't, and almost half the book is Eva whining and shouting.
But after all the whining, the book became what I was expecting. We have questions answered, and, at least for me, it made the book (and the rating). Those last chapters were really good. And I wasn't expecting what Gideon was really doing. I didn't saw that one coming. And I'm not talking about his past, cause I had a pretty good idea of what it could be, but about what Gideon was doing behind Eva's back.
Oh, I was forgetting. I loved the part where Eva goes to Corinne's appartment to confront her. Woman, I have to tell you. She held the bull by the horns.
Now, I'm waiting for book 3 ^^
P.S. I didn't say in the last review, and I have to say it now. Sylvia is a really great writer. And even when I was starting to get a bit bored by the half of this book I kept reading because I knew I was going to be rewarded. And I did!!
Have a nice week.
Love,
Sofia S.
