What girl, haven't watch "Samurai X" as we say here in Portugal (Rurôni Kenshin) without sigh? I have a thing for Japonese culture, and this anime series was the hearted from when I was a child. And I couldn't be more happier when I heard that movie was out.

I believe that the cenario from the anime series was well captured to the screen. Not too cartoon, well realistic, but very similar to the series. The story of the movie is the same from the first season of the anime series.
For those who are trully fans, will see that are some faillures such as characters missing, and I believe that Kenshin hair should be a little more red, don't you think? I believe some characters are very diferent, for example, Megumi it's too "dolly" for me, and Sagara it's too softy. Nevertheless, I liked to see an anime character brought to life. And I think this movie was way better done then the "The Last Airbender".
If you haven't seen the anime series, I still sugest this movie to you. It's not too heavy, and not too light. It has action and romance. Of course, if you like the asian type of movies. Yes, there is a lot of blood, and some crazy fights. But I think that's part of the magic, and what makes this movies specials.
Hope you like this sugestion for the weekend. Next Sunday I'll be a volunteer at the Color Run! I'm so excited! I'll show some photos later.Love,Sofia G.
