Friday Night Series Fever :: Attack on Titan (Shingeki no kyojin)

Hi there! It's me again, Sofia G, to bring you a fresh new anime serie, that just started last month.
Attack on Titan (2013)
DirectorTetsuro Araki
Writers: Hajime Isayama, Yasuko Kobayashi
Stars Yui IshikawaYûki KajiMarina Inoue
SummarySeveral hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren Jaegar (Yûki Kaji) and his foster sister Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishikawa) witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air.

As I told you this serie just started last month, so there isn't much I can tell you, except that it's great! Actually, something happens in this serie that's makes  me think if that was real: imagine that some desease or something else made us to be all closed inside walls, how do you think humanity would take? I think that probably, selfish has the humans are, a lot of bad things would happen, like people treating bad the others, thiefs, even some fights. Who knows we could even create a war inside a wall.
But, on top of that, this series it's really good with only 7 or  8 episodes I guess. It has already intrigue, deaths (yes, it looks like Game of Thrones in this aspect), and it has one think that I love in the anime series: a strong female character, that is the foster sister from the main character. It looks like that some kind os human experiments will be a topic on this serie, so you can imagine, nothing too diferent from the animes, but in the context it's not a superpower has the others, you will get it if you see it
The plot, in this beginnings, it's mainly about revenge. The main character and his friends, witness the horrific invasion of the first wall by the titans, and someone very close dies, and so Eren, promises revenge. So he ans his friends enters to the main guard of the walls you can call it like that. But for now, things are not pretty. But there is so much to develop. I think for example that the titans, at least some of them are not "organic", they are made. If someone watch it, please tell me what you think!
About the graphics, design and the animation, it reminds a little bit of the old animes, with a lot of lines and shades. And theres is a little pinch of steampunk, at least for me I think there is. I can tell you that I love more the art from this one then from Bleach, that are simpler.
The story it's not violent. Of course, it's anime there are a lot of fights, blood, tears, drama. But it's no way the most violent. In fact the titans look so fun when they run. And I know from someone that already read the manga, that the anime it's way less violent.
I strongly sugest you to see it. It's only a few episodes now, so you can see faster if you like it or not. If you like it I think that it will be a serie to have sucess.
Love,
Sofia G
P.S.: I know some already read it yesterday, because in my mind it was friday, so I posted..... I'm crazy I know. So here it is the post from Friday on the Friday!

Sam, the plants g(u)ard(ener)

This is year I've been inspired to gardening and plants. Normally, I only help my mom, but this year I'm doing my own gardening. My boyfriend and I bought a little greenhouse to put on the balcony, and we fill it with aromatic plants, and nurserys for the new baby plants.  Some of them failled like the peppermint and the cactus seeds, but it seems that the problem wasn't ours but from the weather. We will try again now that the weather it's at a normal spring rate. Anyway, Sam likes to be on the balcony, get some tan ( like he wasn't orange enough...), "sing" to the birds that are on the roof and see me taking care of the plants. And what did I find out by accident? This cat, this odd cat, loves chives. Yes, he prefers chives to the cat herb that I planted only to him.
He just don't pay attention to the cat herb, he just walk around my legs, begging for more chives.
My greenhouse for some time was full of anise, because all the seeds grown up, which I wans't expecting and we have to transplant them to early. But, a lot of them died. You read this and think " So you haven't tell us nothing that went right". Not at all, the greenhouse it's full of life, such as my window interior sill. This year my cactus collection is growing. As I bought some new shelves (more then from this post) I have some places to put some plants. My wild orchid it's on one of them.  And my cactus are on the window sill, to be close to the sun.

The anise, two weeks later
Chocolat peppermin: it smells so nice
 Sam's Chives
Front Plant: Thyme; Back Plant: Rosemary
This last photo was from the first time a flower blossom on this cactus, that was the day before yesterday. It's so beautiful! This photos weren't taken all in the same day, so the cactus with the pink flowers are already dead. But it's here to next flowering. Yesterday I bough some new cactus  and some new vases. I'll make a post only about cactus  the cactus all around my house, next time. In the meanwhile, I have to be cautious because Sam can not be alone in the balcony.... He waits for me to leave the balcony, and then ZAS chives, you are mine!
I had to change the vase to the highest grid.
